The 5th Generation MRCOOL® DIY® 12K BTU Ductless Mini-Split Heat Pump is an efficient and versatile climate control solution for spaces up to 550 sq. ft. Designed with homeowners in mind, this system offers a true DIY installation process, eliminating the need for specialized tools or professional assistance. This makes setup quick, straightforward, and cost-effective.
One of its standout features is the pre-charged 25-foot DIY® QuickConnect® line set, pre-filled with R-454B refrigerant. This line set is sold separately. This eliminates the need for vacuuming, significantly reducing installation time and expenses. The included DIYPRO® cable further streamlines installation by removing the need for electrical conduit while also offering enhanced durability and protection against the elements.
Operating the system is simple and convenient, with multiple control options available. Adjust temperature settings with the wireless remote, the SmartHVAC app for iOS and Android devices, or hands-free voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. For personalized comfort, the Follow Me function ensures consistent temperature regulation by adjusting airflow based on the remote’s location, while Dry Mode helps control excess humidity. Built for longevity, the Gold Fin® Condenser provides superior corrosion resistance, making it ideal for coastal environments.
