Overview

MRCOOL DIY 18,000 BTU 5th Gen Easy Pro 20 SEER2 Ductless Mini Split Heat Pump System - R454B - 230V

Powerful whole-room comfort without hiring an HVAC contractor. The MRCOOL DIY Easy Pro 18,000 BTU mini-split heat pump is designed for larger spaces up to 800 sq. ft., including open living areas, primary bedrooms, finished basements, workshops, and spacious home offices.

The included 11.5 ft. pre-charged Quick Connect® line set comes factory-sealed with R-454B refrigerant, removing the need for vacuum pumps, manifold gauges, or refrigerant charging. With up to 20.0 SEER2 efficiency, built-in Wi-Fi, and dependable performance in extreme temperatures, this system delivers professional-level comfort with the convenience and savings of DIY® installation.

True DIY Installation: Includes an 11.5 ft. factory-sealed, pre-charged Quick Connect® line set with R-454B refrigerant. No HVAC license, vacuum pump, manifold gauges, specialized equipment rental, or contractor scheduling is required.
Energy Savings: DC inverter compressor technology continuously adjusts output to match the space’s actual heating or cooling demand, reducing the inefficient on-and-off cycling of traditional systems. The 18K Easy Pro® delivers up to 20.0 SEER2 cooling efficiency and 8.5 HSPF2-4 heating efficiency.
Smart Comfort Control: Built-in Wi-Fi connects with the MRCOOL® Smart HVAC Controller®, allowing you to manage temperature, modes, and schedules from your smartphone. The system also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for convenient voice control.
Comfort in Any Climate: Engineered to operate in outdoor temperatures ranging from -13°F to 122°F, providing reliable heating during freezing winter conditions and consistent cooling through extreme summer heat.
Whisper-Quiet Operation: Five fan-speed settings include a Sleep mode that operates as low as 18.5 dB(A), making the system suitable for bedrooms and other noise-sensitive areas. Even at maximum output, indoor sound levels remain at approximately 46.5 dB(A).
Easy Maintenance: Washable, reusable filters eliminate ongoing replacement-filter costs and make routine cleaning quick and simple. The Gold Fin® corrosion-resistant coating helps protect the outdoor condenser from moisture, humidity, and environmental exposure.
Worry-Free Warranty: Backed by a 5-year compressor warranty and a 3-year parts warranty, with ETL certification confirming compliance with applicable North American safety standards.

Directions

Fairly easy to install some directions said to use 3 1/2” hole but on template it was 2 1/2” which is what I used. Some of the other directions not to clear, still not sure where the little black filter goes?

Perfect for our small apartment. Simple setup, great airflow, and very quiet.

Very strong system. no complaints at all

I love the balance of power and energy savings. Keeps our living space comfortable without running up the bill.

Very happy with this system. Installed it in our master bedroom and it cools the room in minutes. Quiet and efficient.

Good performance overall. The instructions were clear, but it does take some patience if it’s your first DIY install. Worth it in the end

Runs smoothly and heats up quickly in the winter. The Wi-Fi feature is a nice bonus

Anna

The shopping experience was seamless.

The shopping experience with The Living Outlet was seamless from start to finish. Our order arrived on time, everything was very well packed, and the entire process went smoothly. Before placing the order, I had a couple of questions about the system and wanted to make sure we were choosing the right option. Ryan was very helpful, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer our questions clearly, which made us feel much more confident about the purchase. The installation also went smoothly, and so far we are very happy with the system and how everything has worked out. It is always reassuring to purchase from a company that is responsive and helpful both before and after the sale. Overall, we had a great experience with The Living Outlet and are very satisfied with our purchase. Thanks, TLO!
