The MRCOOL® Universal® Series 48,000 BTU (4 Ton) Multi-Position Air Handler & DC Inverter Heat Pump Split System is engineered to deliver high-capacity, energy-efficient heating and cooling using next-generation R-454B refrigerant. This matched system combines a variable-speed inverter condenser with a multi-position air handler to maintain stable indoor comfort while reducing energy consumption and mechanical stress. Designed for installation flexibility, the air handler supports upflow, downflow, and horizontal mounting, making it suitable for closets, attics, or mechanical rooms, while compatibility with MRCOOL® NO-VAC® Quick Connect® line sets streamlines installation. An aluminum corrosion-resistant evaporator coil improves airflow and heat transfer, optional electric heat kits provide cold-weather support, and inverter-driven performance ensures smoother, quieter operation with up to 17.5 SEER2 efficiency, making this system a dependable choice for larger homes requiring modern comfort and long-term durability.
